Chicago’s museums are great photo subjects.  My favorite two are the Art Institute and the Museum of Science and Industry.  The Museum Campus with the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, and Field Museum all grouped together (with Solider Field) is one of the best photo spots in all of Chicago.
