The history of this museum is fascinating. It was the first major building built in Grant Park (though today it’s considered a resident of the Museum Campus) and was conceived as a museum to house the items left behind from the 1893 World’s Fair. Funded by Marshall Field (hence the name), it was a fight to get it build. I suggest reading up on it. As far as photos, it’s great; so much intricate detail on the outside, amazing views from the balcony and world famous exhibits.
