Chicago had a “great fire” in 1871, in case you had not heard.  This little-known monument stands at the sight of Mrs. O’Leary’s Barn, which is largely credited as the site where the fire began.  Today its comically next to the Chicago Fire Academy.  Not a photographer’s dream, but such an iconic aspect of the city that I needed to add it.
