Chicago Water Tower

I think this is my favorite site in Chicago.  One of the only remaining buildings in this area from the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.  So interesting to see all these modern large buildings surrounding what was once the large standpipe pressurizing the city’s water.  The pumping station across the street also survived the fire.  I enjoy trying to find new angles to shoot or looking for details in the building to capture.  Very small and hidden in the trees of a small park, but right on Michigan Avenue.
